International student application steps
1. Complete the free online application: cuw.edu/apply
2. Submit the following documents:
(Please note that all documents submitted become the property of the University)
Undergraduate
- Original transcripts and diplomas from all schools attended or currently attending, in English as well as the native language. If transcripts or diplomas are copies they must be certified by the school *Transcripts must be mailed to the university
- TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo scores required for applicants whose native language is not English
- Copy of your passport and visa if applicable
Graduate
- Original transcripts and diplomas from all schools attended or currently attending, in English as well as the native language. If transcripts or diplomas are copies they must be certified by the school. *Transcripts must be mailed to the university
- TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo scores required for applicants whose native language is not English
- Copy of your passport and visa if applicable
- Resume
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from previous teachers and/or employers
- Statement of purpose that specifically explains what program you are applying to and why you want to attend CUW click here for instructions
- Proof of Funding for one year of tuition, living expenses, and fees dated within the last 6 months. Finances do not determine acceptance to the institution, but are collected at the time of application. This may be either a bank statement or loan sanction letter. If a relative or parent is sponsoring you, please also submit a letter of support to accompany the funding, dated within the last 6 months
Transfer (Transcript Evaluations)
If you are planning to transfer international coursework to Concordia University, please complete a transcript evaluation through a transcript evaluation company like The Evaluation Company, ECE, World Education Services (WES) or Scholaro.
International Baccalaureate Credits
Concordia University accepts International Baccalaureate (IB) credits. Courses must be completed at the Higher Level (HL) with a minimum score of 4 to transfer. Click here to view IB Transfer Course Equivalents.

Cambridge Assessment
A and AS levels for credit will be reviewed based on course content per a review of the syllabus. A grade of C or better is required for credit. These credits may be awarded toward general education requirements, degree requirements, or elective credit. In order to grant the credit, an official copy of the Exam Certificate or the Statement of Provisional Results from the examination board will be required. Course transfer equivalencies will be determined by the registrar upon admission to the university.
