What does it mean to be a mentor?
A mentor in the CUW Alumni Mentoring program supports students to grow academically, personally, professionally and vocationally. Mentors help students more fully explore their chosen field, guide the integration of classroom knowledge with workforce experience, and assist students to gain a better understanding of service and vocation.
Who is the mentorship program for?
CUW Alumni willing to share their career expertise and vocational journey. Assist a student to learn through a shared experience of being a Falcon, and help make a difference in a student’s direction and preparedness.
Eligibility
- Alumni of CUW
- Proficient industry knowledge
- Available for a brief phone interview with Alumni Director
- Commit to a virtual training
- Commit to a one-hour single conversation led by student mentee
Program time commitment
- Submit registration, taken on a rolling calendar year basis
- Complete 30 minute virtual training
- Commit to a single, one-hour conversation, virtual, by phone, or in person
Alumni mentor application
Completing an application does not guarantee a match in the program. Matches will be announced via email. Alumni applicants with whom a match cannot be made for the current cycle will be invited to remain on the list for the next academic year of mentoring.
