Virtual TourIn this post-baccalaureate program, you will earn your initial Wisconsin teacher license to be certified in secondary education. Your selected area of specialization will determine the grade levels you can teach at from K-12th, 4th-12th, or 6th-12th. Concordia develops caring, skilled, and reflective teachers that will be servant leaders in public, private, and parochial schools.
You will first build the foundations for teaching through online courses. Our comprehensive curriculum helps you develop teaching methods in various content areas at the secondary education level. Pre-student teaching, clinical hours in schools, and student teaching are necessary to build your teaching experience and confidence as you learn to engage with a variety of students.
Students who desire licensure in another state must contact their state department of education for details about whether or not this coursework will meet state requirements. Students from outside of Wisconsin may earn the Master’s degree without teacher licensing.
